Location of Itacare

“Itacare” is located 60 km from “Ilheus”, one of the main urban centres of “Bahia”, northeast part of Brazil.

“Itacare” is a town with 20.000 inhabitants, joyful people who were blessed by they natural surroundings.

Itacaré beaches are as paradisiacal as in the rest of Brazil. The temperature in winter varies between 20ºC and 24ºC and in summer around 28ºC. The river “Contas” is also a local attraction with its small streams where you can enjoy golden sunrises and sunsets.


No way you will get bored in our surf camp, the sea is warm and turquoise colored, there are beautiful coral reefs, fruit and tropical vegetation… Beaches with palmtrees and wonderfull refreshing drinks such as fresh coconut water or the famous “Caipirinha” (local rum, lime, ice and sugar).

Without a doubt the choice of waves in “Itacare” make it one of the best surf cities in the world. It’s for nothing that is called the brasilian Hawaii, the Meca of Surf in South América.

There are over 10 surfing spots. The great thing about “Itacare” is that you can find from nice and easy beach breaks to big waves on shallow coral reef. This is why it is called the brasilian Hawaii.

In Brazil climatic conditions can change at any time so big swells can come any time of the year. Due to its diverse sea floor and geographical conditions, “Itacare” is considered one of the best places to surf in Brazil…
