WAVES GUIDE

North Spain - Riazor Orzán

This is the nearest beach of A Coruña, so it is easy to find many surfers in any season   
On the other hand, in their proximities it is possible to find stores, repair shops and some bars and restaurants.

Surf on Sabón beach

This beach break is very consistent but also very popular among the locals.  With southwest wind and low tide, the waves improves a lot.

Barrañan

Nearest beach to the city of La Coruña presents good conditions to catch waves with mid or low tide. It is very popular among the locals.

Caion

This beach presents good waves, even of great quality when there are good formations in the banks of sand.  It is enough converged, mainly during the summer.  There are showers, lifeboat and parking lot.

Razo

Beach break exposed to the ocean...  very sensitive to any growth, so when the sea is flat  it is very advisable.  The waves are quite fast and consistent, the water is clean and there is little crowd.  It works with any tide.

Malpica

Near to the small town of fishermen, Malpica, this beach needs swell west or Southwest to show all its quality.

Surf in North Spain - Galicia - Traba Beach

This beach break is perfect to camp or to go on picnic. The waves are regular and constant.  It can almost always be a pick to surf without crowd.

Nemiña

This beach is the outlet of a river; consequently it presents many picks and good banks of sand.  Doesn’ need specific conditions, because any tide is good to catch waves in Nemiña. Not crowded.

Patos

This is one of few Reef Breaks of Galicia. It has not a very constant wave, since it needs northwest good swells to work.
It is not a long wave, but it presents good sections of tube although Patos is not an easy wave, the crowd is one of the biggest difficulties. It is located in the proximities of the city of Vigo, to the Southwest of Galicia.
