History Peru

The Inca Empire spreaded  through out the land that is known as Peru, part of South Ecuador and North of Chile Nowadays there are only ruins of a forgotten empire wich technological legacy in medicine, mathematics and architecture would, for sure, solve many of our current problems

After Cortez arrival (XVI  Century) the Inca Empire turned into a Spanish Virreynato until achieved its independence after violent confrontations, feeded by the indepentalist  environment that was present in South America at the XIX Century arrival.

The Peruvian republic was not the surfing country that is nowadays, in spite of the fact that before the Spanish invasion and most likely a thousand years before Christ, the north Peruvian Indians were sailing en small vessels known as Caballitos de Totora ( Totora´s little horses).

Back in the fourties the well known writer Mario Vargas Llosa refers to surf  in his book Los Cachorros when a character enters the Waikiki Club and began to slide on the waves of Costa Verde in Lima.
